A good rule of thumb to follow is to charge $1299 and up for ecommerce and other more sophisticated sites. $1299 and down for local, mom-and-pop shops.
Ask yourself honestly, how much time and energy did you actually spend on the sale. Even if you only pocket a few hundred dollars, the referrals and residuals will keep you way ahead of the game.
